"First, a warning to the ladies — this is a poetic allegory of divorce written from a man’s point of view. It is written in classic fairy tale style, and I absolutely love it. But, in truth, it is a humorous fantasy poem with a slightly adult theme. It tells the tale of a handsome prince – with somewhat of a reputation as one heck of a “ladies man” – who is thrown under the spell of a beautiful, but evil witch – who slowly, deliberately robs him of his happiness and manhood, until one day The Fates take pity on him, and allow the Prince to realize the evil spell that he has suffered, and thereby, once again regain his freedom. If you see the analogy here — divorce — and its aftermath — you’re definitely a guy just like me. It is a personal favorite — although few women who’ve read it will likely agree, due to the obvious point of view involved." ~ Jon Gutmacher
